Music is as natural to Kiana Valenciano as breathing. At the
tender age of seven she bagged prestigious awards such as
Awit Awards’ “Best Christmas Recording,” and “Best Child
Recording Artist” for “Once Again It’s Christmas Time” in
2000.
As she came of age Kiana sought a career in the fashion
industry and graduated from Raffles Design Institute,
furthering her studies in London where she took short-term
design courses at Central Saint Martins in 2015. Her prowess
has yielded her collaborations with leading visual artists
Daryl Feril and Ken Samudio for a pop-up store campaign
called Little White Box. Since then she rose to prominence
as a fashion blogger, style icon and lifestyle influencer.
In a digital era Kiana is certainly one that stands out with
more than 89,900 followers on Twitter (@kianavee) and
283,000 on Instagram (@kianavee). She was Candy Magazine’s “Readers’ Choice as Favorite Blogger” for 2015.
The blog, simply called KV, has more than 100,000 views. At
kianavee.com, she occasionally blogs about her favorite
interests: fashion, travel, and music.
She was chosen by Australian makeup brand “BYS” as their
first Filipina brand ambassadress in 2016, while also dealing
with brand endorsements and partnerships with top brands
such as Oxygen, Converse and Jollibee. A favorite cover girl
of glossy magazines, she has graced the covers of Scout, MEGA Magazine, Chalk & Rogue Magazine. “Metro Magazine” took a look at what she had achieved so far and included her in its prestigious list of women to “watch out for” in
2016.
Despite her foray in other pursuits, Kiana never strayed far
from her first love and was making covers on YouTube and is
also writing songs of her own. As a recording artist Magic
89.9 named her “Most Promising New Female Singer in 2014”
for the duet “With You.” She was chosen to interpret the fun
and upbeat love song “Dear Heart”, a finalist for PhilPop
2014, and was awarded the Awit Awards’ Best New Female
Recording Artist trophy in 2015. Kiana has performed in
concerts in the Philippines and abroad, rendered solo
numbers in television shows like The X Factor Philippines,
Showtime and ASAP, and has shared the stage with Maestro
Ryan Cayabyab and the San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Recently she performed live for the Spotify segment of the
international DJ Ingrosso at the Pool Club, has taken the
stage for the Manila X Style and Music Festival for three
consecutive years and has toured the United States as a
guest artist.2017 ushered in a new era for Kiana as an artist, beginning
with releasing her self-composed solo single “Circles.” She
continues her stride in the music industry with urban/hip-
hop hits like the chart-topping “Does She Know”, cutting
edge music videos for her compositions such as “Misfits”,
representing the Philippines with a prestigious slot in the
2017 conference “Music Matters” and releasing her first EP
entitled “Grey” with music label “Tarsier Records.”
She ended
2018 with a bang, treating fans and music aficionados to a
new single “See Me”, preluding the release of her first full
length album, “See Me” out now on Spotify.
