Tedx Mt. Sac: Roslynn Cobarrubias Joining NASA, LinkedIn & More On Stage

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a media organization which posts talks online for free distribution, under the slogan “ideas worth spreading”. TED was founded in February 1984 as a conference, which has been held annually since 1990. TED’s early emphasis was technology and design, consistent with its Silicon Valley origins, but it has since broadened its focus to include talks on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics.

TEDx are independent TED-like events, a TEDx event is organized by volunteers from the local community, and just like TED events, it lacks any commercial, religious or political agenda. Its goal is to spark conversation, connection and community. See below of who Roslynn Alba-Cobarrubias will be joining the stage with in a few weeks at Mt. Sac Community College in her hometown of Walnut, CA where she first began her career as a radio host/DJ at KSAK 90.1FM college radio station interviewing emerging artists at the time like Mos Def , Talib Kweli, Black Eyed Peas and hip hop icons like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and The Pharcyde which became the catalyst to her long lasting career in the music industry. She will speak on starting out at the college in her speech entitled, “Take The First Step.”
