ShoutoutLA had the good fortune of connecting with Roslynn Alba Cobarrubias, read their conversation below.
Hi Roslynn, how do you think about risk?
Risks are an everyday thing that I’ve had to encounter throughout my career. I risked stability when I chose to pursue a career in music, start my own company, every time I produce an event, etc. Risks have been beneficial because they have created unforeseen opportunities, helped develop new skills, were great learning lessons & helped develop resilience when things didn’t go as planned and building blocks when they did go right. The risks I took helped create a business in helping others, have brought opportunities to travel the world and most importantly, inspire those younger than me to pursue unconventional careers in their own passions.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout out to the Filipino community throughout the world – whether it is on stage at a concert, on the frontlines as a hospitality or healthcare worker or college student. Everyday I’m inspired by the 120M+ people throughout the world who find new ways of bringing smiles to people’s faces through their hard work, food, jokes, great music and events. There is little credit given to the contributions of this community in every industry, and it has helped shaped my current mission, vision and purpose in helping our talent, content & events get recognized in the mainstream. Excited for the future to come that stands on the historic work of those in the past.
