There’s one awesome thing traveling with friends that can finish each other’s sentences, call you out on your random quirks like pulling your shirt off your chest when it’s hot now termed as “The Ros,” leave their bags on the bus for you & Billy Dec to take them than rather than thank him when he gets there, get mads that we pretend to lose their ventilizer (Jo Koy) or use laughter to forget how hot the small propeller plane is. It’s ANOTHER amazing thing to travel with the President Apl.de.Ap who is so humble yet so powerful. People everywhere stop to take photos with him including security/police officers/airplane technicians, people of different ages shout out “Bebot Bebot” or yell out “Coach Apl!” while he walks by (he’s one of the 4 judges on The Voice of the Philippines), Jolibee carries special macaroons that provide donations to build schools through his foundation (Jo Koy bought every box at the airport & handed them out to the crowd minutes before he magically walked thru the door for an Oprah Winfrey moment to meet those who got boxes.)
Because we are apart of his entourage & TPB Tourism Promotions & Board is awesome, personal airport terminals are opened up, bands and troupes perform for you when you land or anywhere you go for that matter. And as a bonus, Jo Koy who gets paid lots of $$ for theater shows across the world is the personal comedian keeping everyone laughing 24/7 (except when he’s sleeping.) Before headed to Cebu, Jo Koy and Gaspar detail their stories of getting to the Epic Nightclub where Apl.de.ap and friends performed despite the pouring down rains, flood and brown outs. Jo Koy is carried on someone’s back through the flooded streets to get to the club where Apl’s artists from The Voice Philippines perform. We rejoice that Cassie just joins us after her show at Barclays Center in NYC and Jo Koy has to leave us for a show in Atlantic City. #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines
