With over 1 Million subscribers and 200 Million Plays on YouTube, Alex G. is rapidly becoming well know in the music industry with fans all over the world watching her every step. She started her musical journey on YouTube, mostly singing covers of mainstream music, “Payphone” by Maroon 5 being her most popular with over 14 Million plays!

Standing apart from typical YouTube stars, Alex G. just released new debut album “Make Your Move” filled with original songs. Luckily today, a few fans who entered the contest via @DashRadio and @WhatsTrending Twitter were chosen not only watch her perform live and get interviewed but got a chance to meet her and take an unforgettable photo with her to share on their social channels.

Alex performed an original track she wrote which could be found on her new album that she says stemmed from a very personal experience. She ended the intimate performance by playing one of host Shira Lazar’s infamous “YouTube Challenges” by having one minute to perform a medley of popular songs covered in her original style which included: “All of Me” by John Legend, “Counting Stars” by One Republic, “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift and “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith. During the interview, Alex spoke candidly about the struggles of her past relationships which have inspired her music alongside revealing interesting stories about how she started off and why she posted her first video on YouTube.

Nick Jonas fans have been waiting patiently for the opportunity to see the youngest brother of the Jonas Brothers perform his new solo music live. Fortunately, for a few lucky winners who won contests on Dash Radio, Myspace or What’s Trending, today was their lucky day at YouTubeSpaceLA.

Nick performed his Billboard Twitter Real Time Chart Trending song, “Chains,” that was also played at the top of every hour on “Press Play” and “Main Stage” radio stations on the new Dash Radio since the contest began, followed by a performance of his new upbeat song, “Jealous.” What’s Trending host, Shira Lazar joked that he made “jealousy seem like a positive thing” in the new song that is inevitably going to be a big hit. Videos of the performances will be available to view on YouTube via What’s Trending & his personal Nick Jonas account the week of 9/13.

Post performances, the floor was opened for a few fan questions alongside those pulled from Nick’s Facebook or the #AskNickJOnas hashtag that was retweeted by @twittermusic this week.

The highlight of course for the day for most of the fans was when they got to pose in a group photo with Nick that is available HERE on the Dash Radio Facebook page.

6. The winning band will be chosen from the leaderboard during a very special livestream from YouTube Space LA. Ford will then fly the winning band or artists (5 person group max) out to perform on one of the stages for a once in a lifetime experience.

Randomly ran into Soulja Boy at the Cribo studio of Mally Mall, haven’t seen him since our Hawaii show a few years ago that he filmed his LIVE DVD at.
Had to take advantage of his time in Vegas to do some press with You Tube’s What’s Trending Show, Revolt TV and Hip Hop Wired. I’m a fan of his new song ft. Drake called “We Made It.” Kyle Massey taught me the chorus so I can sing along “My resolution for New Year’s is Ninjas we made it!” =)
