Who: Ab-Soul
What: These Days Tour
Where: The Observatory – OC
When: Tuesday October 21, 2014
Santa Ana, California showed up and poured out the upmost love and appreciation for TDE’s Black Lip Pastor, Ab-Soul as he took to The Observatory – OC stage on October 21st with fans from the valley, Santa Ana and even further, all of whom were anxious to witness Soulo take the stage for the second Cali stop on his first ever headlining tour; These Days Tour.
With opening acts ranging from Next Day’s Shad Robinson down to Dreamville’s, Bas, hyping the crowd up for Soul, it was only a matter of time before the lights dimmed low, herb filled the air and out walked the man of the night. Shades on and mic in hand, Soul began the night by slapping hands with fans in the front row and taking a moment to take it all in. Fans were taken on a journey through Soul’s career as he performed tracks from his infamous Control System project down to his present day masterpiece, “These Days”. Not only was I, but just about every person around me held their three’s up in the air and rapped the lyrics to some of his most profound – “Terrorist Threats”, “Pineal Gland”, “Illuminate”, “Gods Reign”, “TWACT”, and “Feelin’ Us” in which he brought out fellow Top Dawg label mate, Jay Rock.
I’m not sure whether or not every fan really embraced the fact, so I must remind them, that each and every one of them witnessed history; Never has Soul headlined his very own tour until this year. To every person that came out, to the humble people at TDE, Ray Alba, Fredo Tovar, and Soulo himself, thank you for allowing Third Floor Network to capture this historic moment that will forever be embedded in your memories. Threes up!
