With @candymanmovie starring @yahya Abdul-Mateen II opening at #1 with $22M+, here is a flashback to Roslynn interview him for @MYXglobal, where he mentions moments that have him “lifted off the ground, living the dream” & changing careers from architecture, where he worked as a city planner in San Francisco. After being laid off from his job, he used the opportunity to apply to drama schools, in which he was accepted by New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and Yale School of Drama. He graduated from Yale with a Master of Fine Arts degree and worked as a stage actor.
He goes on to star in @dccomics@aquamanmovie & @hbo#TheWatchmen & soon #TheMatrix 4. Just goes to show that it’s never too late to follow your passion & moments of clarity can come from what might be the most challenging times if you follow your heart. Even with an architecture degree from @ucberkeleyofficial, he went on to do something else he truly loved & keeps ascending to higher ground in his passion.
